For my teaching in the first year bachelor course ‘Biodiversity’ I have been awarded an Education Award by students, and more specifically the education committee from the student association ABO. Students applauded my enthusiasm, knowledge clips and novel assignments (challenges to explore plant biodiversity in the own neighbourhood). I’m humbled to receive this reward. Knowing that students appreciate my teaching about biodiversity (and wild flora specifically) enough to award me for it is amazing, especially since showing people the importance of biodiversity and beauty of nature is something that I find very important.
